Childhood Dreams The Randy Pausch story and transcript was really inspiring to me because it shows me that dreams can become a reality if we have the tenacity and drive to see them fulfilled. One of Randy's dreams was to be in zero gravity. As a professor, he was able to put together a team that submitted a proposal and won a competition to go to NASA and be in a training simulator with zero gravity. Initially, as it turns out, he would not be permitted into the zero gravity with the students. He was heartbroken because of this. However, because he was so close to his dream, instead of giving up, he found a loophole that would allow him to experience zero gravity with his students. Dream fulfilled.  Oftentimes, I look back on my experiences and realize that I had given up on a goal or a dream just because someone said it wouldn't be possible. To be honest, I am looking forward to Introduction to Entrepreneurship to help me overcome my fears of finding out what I really want to do. It seems that I always revert to my fears of not being good enough or smart enough, or even passionate enough to really do something different! I've built houses, bought fixer uppers and sold them, owned my own insurance agency, learned how eCommerce works and sold almost 200k in merchandise, but for some reason, I always seem to think I'm not doing enough and need to find something else that I can be more successful with. I've worked a few jobs, worked my way up into management, made a 6 figure income, but give it all up because I either get bored and think there has to be something different I should be doing, or get frustrated with the way things are being done and feel like I can't do the job anymore or I'm too stressed out to do the job any longer.
